Tax Explaination

I forgot the breakdown from Keaton, it makes the breakdown of the taxes easier to understand

So I transferred $10,000, which covers the $7,600 for the 2024 taxes, $1,875 for the 2025 Estimated Federal Taxes and $50 for the 2025 Estimated State Taxes, leaving $475 unaccounted for. I transferred $4075 to the joint account ($4550 for my half of the roof minus $475) and a separate $400 for Madie's Mortgage

Let me know if you have any questions.

Taxes Follow Up

Okay, sorry it took me so long, but here is the tax breakdown.

Our joint taxes (State and Federal) for 2024 were $40,289, minus $14,250 in payments made for $26,039. If we would have filed jointly it would have been $26,083 - $44 more.

Separately, I owed $!6,972 and Cindy owed $23,361 – with Bob having $12,815 in credits vs. Cindy having $1,435 in credits. However, the $7,050 prepaid was 100% credited to Bob instead of split between Bob and Cindy. This means Bob had $3,525 less in credits and Cindy $3,525 more in credits.

So Bob had a tax liability of $16,950 (accounting for $22 subtracted for Joint difference) and credits of $9,290 for taxes owed of $7,660.

Cindy had a tax liability of $23,339 (accounting for $22 subtracted for Joint difference) and credits of $4,960 for taxes owed of $18,379.

So I transferred $10,000 on April 17th
Subtract $7,600 for 2024 Taxes
Subtract $1,875 for 2025 Estimated Federal Taxes
Subtract $50 for 2025 Estimated State Taxes

This accounts for $9,525. I messaged you for the total on Blakes roof, as soon as I get that I'll get that squared away. I will also transfer $400 to the joint account today for Jeff & Madie's mortgage.

Can I get a copy of the invoice for the roof for my taxes for next year. I also need to get a copy of the purchase contracts and the payment schedules from the sale of Quilter's Cupboard for the divorce paperwork.

Played Hookey To Sew

I took the afternoon off today to sew, what fun!  Our Groovy Girls club starts on Friday and I still had a couple of samples I wanted to get done so I used that as my excuse.

Terry Atkinson has a fun new pattern for an E-reader cover that I was adapting for my iPad (come to Groovy Girls and I'll give you my changes).  I've decided I'd much rather follow someone else's pattern than design my own because I just like to sew, sew, sew! I had to keep stopping and measuring and crossing my fingers that it would fit when I got done (no trial versions for me, just on to the finished one out of the perfect fabric).

It turned out fabulously, although it's difficult to tell from the photo - black fabric and black iPad, not an ideal photo op. Luckily the contrast of our darling Callie saved the picture. I guess you're just going to have to stop by and see the real deal. Now I just want to keep sewing and make a matching camera case and flip video camera (if you can turn your head sideways, check out my first video attempt during my Beginning Quilting class on Facebook)
Instead, I've been helping my sweet husband figure out how to link our Blog to Facebook...hope that goes as well as my Ipad cover.

Christmas in July Sales Event runs Wed. - Sat.

Spent the day putting up Christmas decorations for our Christmas in July Sales
Event that starts Wednesday and runs through Saturday. I felt like I was back in
California, wearing flip flops and getting my Christmas tree in 80 degree
weather!

Come check out our great Christmas fabrics (as well as Fall and Halloween) and
draw your discount to see if you've won a free fat quarter, 20% off a holiday
kit, a free class or one of our other holiday deals.  Thursday, during our
Stitchery Clubs we'll be showing you our new holiday hand embroidery and wool
projects.  Also, if you'd like to learn how to embroider, we'll have a basic how
to class.

Saturday will be Demo Day - At 11:00am I'll show you how to make Christmas cards
with our new software and your embroidery machine.  1pm will be a how-to on
fusible applique, used in many of our Christmas projects and at 3pm, I'll show
you how to use the popular and addicting Twister ruler to make great gifts.

I'm not sure if Santa will be stopping by, but his reindeer have been busy
making cookies for our fun event and the Christmas music will be blaring!

See you there,
Cindy

Vending at Ankeny Quilt Show

Wow,
Had my first taste of how much work it is to set up a booth for vending!  I'm going to have to get more organized and have a better plan if I'm ever going to get good at this.  The bright side is the great projects and beautiful yarns I took will make up for my lack of experience in booth design. Stop by the booth to say hi! and pick up a coupon to use at the store. Show hours are Fri. 9-6 and Sat. 9-4 at Faith Baptist Bible College
